What this site is
Best APY Rates is an independent rate-tracking site that compares high-yield savings accounts and CD rates in the US. It was built to answer one question fast — where does cash earn the most right now, with no strings attached. Every comparison is designed to surface the highest genuine rates first, so you can see in seconds what your cash could actually earn.
How we verify rates
Every rate we publish is checked on the bank’s own official website. We never copy a rate from another roundup, aggregator, or best-of list. If we cannot confirm a rate at the source, it does not go on the site.
Rates are re-verified weekly, every Monday, and every page shows the date its rates were checked, so you always know how current the numbers are.
Our rankings follow a strict no-strings standard. To be ranked, an account must have:
- No direct-deposit requirements
- No debit-purchase requirements
- No balance caps that gut the headline rate
- No new-customer-only teasers in the rankings
When a notable rate is conditional, we do not rank it as if it were a no-strings rate. We call it out as conditional, explain the condition, and keep it separate from the no-strings rankings.
